In 1790, Sieur Daumont was the first official settler at ‘Trou Forbans’. This spectacular palm fringed bay was probably visited before him by pirates hence the name of the bay ‘Pirates Cove’.
Located in the picturesque South-East of Mahe, Chalet d’Anse Forbans are 24km from the capital of Victoria and 14km from the Seychelles airport and offer modern and comfortable self-catering accommodation at reasonable prices. In 2000 Chalets d’Anse Forbans was awarded with Best Self catering award for the Seychelles.
To ensure complete relaxation, a daily maid and laundry service is provided. Shopping facilities and restaurants are also nearby with the closest shop being 1.5km from the chalets. Beach towels, snorkelling equipment, BBQ, car hire facility, extra beds and baby cots are all additional facilities available on request. Local buses also pass the resort regularly. For guests wishing to dive, the local dive centre is used who will provide transport to and from the chalets should the guest require it. Babysitting can be arranged on request. Dinner can be arranged at the Allamanda hotel, situated within walking distance from the chalets.
