Situated in the National Marine Park, some 5km from Mahe and the capital Victoria, Cerf Island is surrounded by white sandy beaches and coves and covered with dense tropical vegetation. This second tourism establishment of the island offers a tranquille atmosphere ideal for those seeking privacy in a peaceful setting. Cerf Island is a small but beautiful granite island extending 1.7km long by 900 metres large. It is ideal for exploring and even boasts a famous inhabitant, the author Wilbur Smith!
Facilities offered within the L’Habitation Hotel include a restaurant serving Creole and continental dishes, a cocktail bar, swimming pool and small games area offering a number of board games. Light midday meals are served under the Beach Gazebo. Watersports offered within the hotel include snorkelling, pedalos and canoeing. The reefs surrounding the hotel boast a wide variety of marine life and are considered a paradise for divers. Other activities available to guests at a charge are big game fishing, long-line fishing and full day boat excursions with a picnic. Beach towels are available to hire within the hotel. Free boat transfers are provided to The Wharf Hotel and Marina on Mahe to enable guests to discover the Seychelles capital island.
